I have no good quotes nor any nice words to say right now. I just need to vent my ass off.
My commute home is normally 20 to 30 minutes tops. Today it took almost 3 1/2 HOURS to get home. Seriously, I could have gone to Madison in that amount of time to see my sister! I just go crazy sitting in my car for that long...I get so frustrated thinking what I could be doing.
What kills me the most is it was pretty bad at the onslaught of the snow and people all around me at work were getting calls saying how bad the roads are, etc, etc. I work for an Internet company. One that prides itself on being a leader and cutting edge. I work with many that know all there is to know about computers and I am willing to bet I am one of the only people that didn't have internet access at home until about a month ago. But do you think they would send out an email to send people home to finish their work day from home?
I don't get it...why would my company frown upon telecommuting? They implemented policy not long ago that basically does not promote this. Really? I just don't get it.
Okay, my rant is now done. Today's drive just plain sucked.
Awww, bless your heart - you poor thing! That woulda ticked me off too! Your bosses need to reconsider - or maybe you should start up your own company! : ) Happy Monday! At least the sun is shining today!
