My Baby's Going To Daycare

Wow! I have been way too busy. Spring and Summer just seem to fly by ever year with such a rapid pace. It's already June and I think I posted once in May...I just can't seem to find the time these days. We have been all over the place and yet I feel like I have gotten very little accomplished. Before you know it, the whole beautiful summer is over.

These days, when I get a moment of solitude, I prefer just to read or decompress with a little creative project. But I haven't had much solitude. Max is one busy little guy these days. He is just pure joy. Monday he will embark on his first day of daycare. At first I had my apprehensions. Sending my baby off to a strangers house for them to care for all day long made me think of all the terrible things you hear about with in-home daycare.

We have been blessed to have had my mother, for his first year of his sweet baby life, come to our house to care for him. I can't thank her enough for that. It made it easier to back to work knowing that Grammie was his primary care taker. The bond that they have establish is beyond words. But now it's time for Max to "get out there" and mingle with some kiddo's his own age.

My mom took him over to the daycare for a couple hours one day this week and she was confident that he was going to love it. He took right to the place and made a new friend named Oliver who is also one. Little Oliver gave him a big hug! How precious is that! What a welcoming that is...Knowing my mom liked that place and loved Judy makes me feel so at ease. What a relief!

I know the first day or two will be hard to drop him off, but I am fairly confidant that he is going to love it. I get a sense that he is going to really take off with his development.
